Soil Your Undies at the Virginia State Fair!

Come see 4 The Soil and the Virginia Soil Health Coalition at the State Fair and check out a BRIEF test you can do to learn about the life in your backyard soil! 

The Virginia Soil Health Coalition teamed up with the State Fair of Virginia and the Fluvanna County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee to promote the Soil Your Undies campaign and the 4 The Soil awareness initiative. 

The State Fair is open 10 am - 9 pm September 26 through October 5, 2025. From 10 am to 6 pm, a soil health champion will be at the 4 The Soil booth to chat about the initiative, materials, and the Soil Your Undies challenge, including Summer Thomas, Education and Outreach Specialist with Virginia Soil Health Coalition and Mary Sketch Bryant, Director of the Virginia Soil Health Coalition. 

Come visit the 4 The Soil booth at the Horticulture Tent to learn more and grab 4 The Soil coloring books, bookmarks, info about how to use the four principles, and buttons with our badge!

Everybody can be #4theSoil, for the life in our backyards!
