Hoot-n-Annie noun
f·u·n ˈhü-tə-ˌna-nē
: a gathering by The FlipCharts and Camp pHyre to which you are invited on June 23, 2024!
The FlipCharts and camp pHyre kitchen & farm are hosting a Hoot-N-Annie to celebrate National Soil Health Day on June 23, 2024, through live music & community!
The Hoot-n-Annie will bring together local and regional musicians for a group playing & sing-a-long of the new “4 the Soil” song. Like an informal "hootenanny," the event will provide a beautiful space for socializing with fellow soil health champions and voices. The hosts will also provide youth-friendly activities, because no matter what age, we can all be 4 The Soil!
The FlipCharts are the musical duo of Ennis and Phil Carter. They created the song and
played it during the Virginia Farmer to Table Conference in 2023. After the Hoot-N-Annie, they are excited to share it on streaming services and as a film to raise awareness about the importance of soil health.
Camp pHyre is one of the gathering spaces of Natual pHuel. As a rural oasis and community pHyre circle, the space has a covered shelter and covered composting toilet.
The hosts encourage you to bring a blanket, lawn chairs, your picnic basket, and instruments if you play ...or your voice to sing-a-long!
