Featured Resource: Food and Agriculture Organization of The United Nations Soils Portal

Updated: Apr 21

As emphasized in multiple episodes of “4 The Soil: A Conversation,” soil health is important across the world, and stewards are working to manage and regenerate the soil across all seven continents. Want to continue to expand your global perspective on soils? Look no further than the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations’ (FAO) page on soils. The FAO is an agency of the United Nations whose goal is “to achieve food security for all and make sure that people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active healthy lives.”

Resources on their soils page include information on soil assessment, soil biodiversity, soil management, a publications hub, and much more. There is even an entire portal on soil legislation where you can see which countries have soil related policies. Check out the full FAO Soils Portal. What did you learn of interest?
